Ben Kornak is a musician from Cherry Hill, New Jersey who has been exploring all things percussion for over fourteen years. He has performed with a wide variety of ensembles in the New Jersey and Philadelphia region for over a decade. Ben is a Rowan University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, specializing in percussion performance. He thrives in freelance work, frequently playing for studio sessions, music festivals, private events, concerts, theater productions, and more. Ben is continuously working to expand his skillset, seeking growth both as a professional and as a person.
Ben has worked with people of all ages and learning styles, as he highly values the chance to discover new techniques and approaches to teaching. He focuses on the development of proper technique and prioritizes skills that are applicable to real life musical situations. Ben is a staunch proponent of finding both physically and emotionally sustainable ways for students to play their instrument. He believes that a student’s enjoyment of music and excitement to play their instrument is pivotal to effective education. To Ben, every opportunity to create or teach music is a chance to learn something invaluable.
