Dallas Taylor is an up and coming piano player in the Philadelphia Metro scene. He is a 2018 graduate of the extraordinary University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He has been a member of the UArts Z Band, winner of the national collegiate jazz competition. Dallas’s experience includes opening for Cold Play, working with variety of bands in many music genres. He has played on the stage of the Kimmel Center, been mic’d many times at the new Yankee Stadium, played in churches, weddings, private parties, and a variety of local clubs. Dallas is highly sought after for his talent, musicianship, entertaining presence, professionalism, enthusiasm and congenial personality. Dallas began his musical pursuits as a piano player, which he has studied for 17 years. His ability to play trumpet, piano, and keyboard has kept him quite busy performing in a variety of professional and school functions. Dallas has been teaching private lessons for 6 years around the South Jersey area. Through teaching he has been able to discover a fondness for the history and theory behind music and the practice it entails. Dallas creates a wonderful learning environment for each student, “Music, to me, is more then just what's on the page, that part is important for sure, but we have the ability to take what is black and white and turn it into color.”
